Tamizha Apps ("we", "our", or "us") built the Tamil Panchangam 2026 app (the "App") as a free, ad-supported application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our App. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We are committed to user privacy. The App is designed to function with minimal data collection.
a) Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any personal identification information.
- We do not require user registration or login.
- We do not access your contacts, camera, microphone, photos, or files.
- We do not collect or store any financial or payment information.
b) Information Automatically Collected
- Device Information: General device information such as device model, operating system version, and screen resolution may be collected by third-party advertising services (Google AdMob) for the purpose of serving relevant ads.
- Advertising Identifiers: Google Advertising ID may be collected by AdMob to serve personalized or non-personalized ads based on your device settings.
- Usage Data: Anonymous, aggregated usage statistics such as app open count and screen views may be collected to improve the App's functionality.
c) Location Data
The App may request optional access to your device location solely to provide location-specific panchangam timings (such as sunrise, sunset, and Rahu Kalam) for your city. Location data is processed on-device and is not transmitted to any server or stored by us.
2. How We Use Information
Any information collected is used exclusively for:
- Displaying daily Tamil Panchangam details based on your selected city.
- Serving advertisements through Google AdMob to support the free availability of the App.
- Improving App performance, stability, and user experience.
3. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy policy governing data collection:
Google AdMob — Used to display advertisements within the App. AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP address, and usage data to serve ads. You can learn more about Google's data practices at:
Google Play Services — Required for core app functionality on Android devices. Google Play Services may collect certain device and usage information as described in the Google Privacy Policy.
4. Advertisements
The App displays banner and interstitial advertisements served by Google AdMob. These ads help us keep the App free for all users.
- You may see personalized ads based on your interests, or non-personalized ads based on your device settings and consent choices.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device's ad settings (Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization).
- We do not control the content of third-party advertisements.
5. Data Storage & Security
All panchangam data (daily thithi, nakshatra, festivals, timings, etc.) is pre-loaded within the App and stored locally on your device. No panchangam data is fetched from or transmitted to external servers.
User preferences such as selected city are stored locally on your device using shared preferences and are not transmitted externally.
We implement reasonable measures to protect any data processed by the App. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The App does not contain any content inappropriate for minors. If you believe that a child under 13 has provided personal information through the App, please contact us immediately, and we will take steps to remove such information.
Advertisements shown in the App comply with Google AdMob's policies, including policies related to child-directed content where applicable.
7. Your Rights & Choices
You have the following rights regarding your data:
- Opt-out of Personalized Ads: Adjust your device advertising settings as described in Section 4.
- Location Permission: You can deny or revoke location permission at any time through your device settings. The App will continue to function using your manually selected city.
- Clear App Data: You can clear all locally stored preferences by clearing the App's data or cache from your device settings.
- Uninstall: You can stop all data collection by uninstalling the App from your device.
8. Data Retention
We do not store any user data on external servers. All user preferences are stored locally on your device and are deleted when you uninstall the App or clear its data. Third-party services (Google AdMob) may retain data as described in their respective privacy policies.
9. International Users
The App is primarily designed for users in India, particularly Tamil Nadu. If you access the App from outside India, please be aware that data processed by third-party services may be transferred to and processed in countries with different data protection laws. By using the App, you consent to such transfers.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. Any changes will be posted within the App and on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
