- We do not track your precise geographic location
- We do not collect payment or financial information
2.2 Locally Stored Data
The App stores certain data locally on your device only. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party:
- Book of Shadows Entries: Personal journal notes, spells, reflections, and entries you create are saved exclusively on your device using local storage
- App Preferences: Settings such as hemisphere selection (Northern/Southern), notification preferences, and first-launch status are stored locally
- Notification Schedules: Moon phase and sabbat reminder schedules are stored and managed on your device
2.3 Information Collected by Third-Party Services
The App uses third-party services that may independently collect certain information. These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them:

Data stored locally on your device (Book of Shadows entries, preferences, notification schedules) is used solely to provide you with the App's functionality. This data is never accessed, read, collected, or transmitted by us.
3.2 Third-Party Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App displays advertisements through Google AdMob to support free access to the App. Google AdMob may use the information it collects to:
- Display relevant advertisements based on your interests and approximate location

- Ad Identifier: You can reset your advertising identifier at any time in your device settings

5Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share your personal information with any third parties. Specifically:
- We do not share data with data brokers or marketing companies
- We do not share data with social media platforms
- We do not share data with analytics providers (we do not use analytics services)
- The only third-party service receiving any device data is Google AdMob, solely for the purpose of serving advertisements, as described in Section 2.3
We may disclose information if required by law, such as in response to a valid court order, subpoena, or government request. However, since we do not collect personal data, we would have no personal information to disclose.
6Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the App and its functionality:
- All locally stored data on your device is protected by your device's own security mechanisms (lock screen, encryption, etc.)
- The App does not transmit your personal data over the internet
- Ad-related network communications between the App and Google AdMob are encrypted in transit
While we strive to protect your data, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We encourage you to maintain your device's security features, including screen locks and software updates.
7Data Retention & Deletion
7.1 Locally Stored Data
Your Book of Shadows entries, app preferences, and notification settings remain on your device until you choose to delete them. You can:
- Delete individual Book of Shadows entries from within the App
- Clear all App data from your device's Settings → Apps → Wicca → Storage → Clear Data
- Uninstall the App, which removes all locally stored data permanently
7.2 Third-Party Data
Data collected by Google AdMob is retained and managed according to Google's own data retention policies. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details on how Google retains and deletes data.
8Children's Privacy
The App is rated for ages 3+ ("Everyone") on the Google Play Store. However, the App is designed primarily for an adult and teen audience interested in Wiccan spirituality and education.
- We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction)
- The App does not require any personal information to function
- Advertisements displayed through Google AdMob comply with Google's policies regarding ad content for all-ages applications
If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the App's third-party services, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
9Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA & Global Privacy)
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data. Since we do not collect personal information directly, most of these rights are addressed inherently. However, we acknowledge the following:
For European Users (GDPR)
- Right of Access: We do not hold personal data about you. Your data is on your device.
- Right to Erasure: You can delete all your data by clearing the App's storage or uninstalling the App
- Right to Object: You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings
- Data Portability: As data is stored locally on your device, it is already in your possession
For California Users (CCPA)
- We do not sell your personal information
- You have the right to know what data is collected — this is detailed in Section 2 above
- You have the right to opt out of the sale of personal data — we do not engage in such sales
10Offline Functionality
The App is designed to function fully offline without an internet connection. All Wiccan content — including the guide articles, lunar calendar, Wheel of the Year, spells, herbalism guide, crystal guide, candle meanings, and meditation features — is bundled within the App and does not require internet access.
An internet connection is only required for:
- Displaying advertisements via Google AdMob
- Downloading App updates from the Google Play Store
When offline, the App functions normally without ads. No data is transmitted when you are offline.
11Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, our practices, or applicable laws. When we make changes:
- The "Effective Date" at the top of this policy will be updated
- Significant changes will be communicated through an in-app notification or the App's update notes on the Google Play Store
- Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy
We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
12Third-Party Links & Content
The App may contain links to external websites or third-party content within advertisements. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of any external sites or services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
