Welcome to Face Blur & Censor — Privacy Photo Editor ("the App"), developed and operated by Tamizha Apps. We are deeply committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency about how our App works.
This Privacy Policy explains what data the App accesses, how it processes information, and what measures we take to keep your personal information secure. By using our App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
The short version: Your photos are processed entirely on your device. We never upload, transmit, collect, or store any of your images or personal data. Period.
Data We Collect
We do not collect any personal data. The App is designed from the ground up as a privacy-first tool. Here is what that means in practice:
- No personal information is gathered (no name, email, phone number, or account creation)
- No photos or images are uploaded to any server
- No usage analytics or behavioral tracking data is collected
- No device identifiers are stored by us
- No location data is accessed or recorded
- No cookies or tracking technologies are used by us
The App functions entirely offline. All image processing, including AI-based face detection and blur/pixelate effects, happens exclusively on your device using on-device machine learning models.
How Your Photos Are Processed
When you select or take a photo within the App, the following processing occurs entirely on your device:
- Face Detection: The App uses Google ML Kit's on-device face detection model to identify faces in your photos. This model runs locally on your phone — no image data is sent to Google or any other server.
- Blur & Pixelate Effects: All image manipulation (Gaussian blur, pixelation, black bar overlay) is performed using on-device image processing libraries.
- Image Export: Edited images are saved directly to your device's photo gallery. At no point does the processed image leave your device through our App.
Google ML Kit's face detection model is bundled with the App at install time and runs completely offline. No network requests are made for face detection processing.
Third-Party Services
The App integrates the following third-party services:
Google ML Kit (On-Device)
Used for face detection. The ML Kit model operates entirely on your device. No image or biometric data is transmitted to Google servers through our App. Please refer to Google ML Kit's Terms for further details.
Google AdMob (Advertising)
We display advertisements provided by Google AdMob to support the free availability of the App. AdMob may collect certain device information and advertising identifiers to serve relevant ads. This data collection is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to or control over the data that Google collects through AdMob.
AdMob may collect device-level data such as advertising ID for ad personalization. You can opt out of personalized ads through your device's settings under Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization.
Permissions We Request
The App requires the following device permissions to function. Each is used solely for its stated purpose:
Data Storage & Security
Since the App does not collect or transmit any personal data, there is no remote data storage. All information remains on your device:
- App preferences (such as default blur effect settings) are stored locally on your device using standard Android storage mechanisms
- Edited images are saved to your device's photo gallery — we have no access to these files after saving
- No cloud storage, no servers, and no databases are used to store your information
Your data security is ensured by the fact that your data simply never leaves your device through our App.
Children's Privacy
The App is rated suitable for all ages (3+). We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children or any other users. Since the App collects zero personal data, it is inherently safe for users of all ages.
The App contains advertisements served by Google AdMob. Google's ad policies include safeguards for younger audiences. Parents and guardians are encouraged to supervise children's device usage and manage ad personalization settings.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or applicable regulations. When we make changes:
- The "Effective Date" at the top of this page will be updated
- Significant changes will be communicated through an in-app notice
- Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy
